Eliška K. Lorencová

Eliška K. Lorencová is postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Human Dimensions of Global Change, Global Change Research Institute (CzechGlobe). Eliška has PhD in Environmental Studies from Charles University in Prague and Master´s degree in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University and Research Centre, The Netherlands. Eliška has previous work experience as environmental policy trainee in Brussels, Belgium as well as research officer in Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve, South Africa. Her research focuses on climate change adaptation, climate change perception, climate change impacts on ecosystem services, assessment and mapping of ecosystem services, environmental security and risks. She is currently involved in FP7 BASE project "Bottom-up Climate Adaptation Strategies towards a Sustainable Europe”, focused on development and evaluation of adaptation measures and strategies in Europe, where she mainly contributes to the assessment of sectoral adaptation. Eliška is a member of Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP).
