Ioanna Grammatikopoulou holds a M.Sc. title in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, from the University of Copenhagen and Ph.D. in the field of Environmental Economics at the department of Economics and Management, University of Helsinki. Her expertise is focused on economic valuation of ecosystem services and the assessment of different conservation policy tools. She has strong technical capacity in applied econometric modeling and in field survey design.
Ioanna has been working on empirical research in regards to stated preference methods for valuing ecosystem services and on behavioral models that aimed to explore the factors of citizen’s appreciation of ecosystem services. Her current research interests include ecosystem services mapping and assessment as well as environmental accounting. She is a member of the European Association of Environmental Resource Economists (EAERE).
