Lenka Suchá is PhD student in the field of International Development Studies at Palacky University Olomouc. Her PhD dissertation is focused on the land tenure and its implications for productivity of urban agriculture in Soweto, South Africa. Lenka has conducted several field researches focusing on social aspects of urban agriculture in Zambia (Ndola), in the Philippines (Metro Manila/Quezon City) and in South Africa (Johannesburg/Soweto). Lenka has experience of working in the field of global and environmental education and she was also organizing Summer School on Development Cooperation at Palacky University Olomouc.
Lenka has been working as a researcher at CzechGlobe, the Department of the Human Dimensions of Global Change since 2019. In her research she focuses on adaptation to climate change in cities and on participatory research methods in stakeholder planning.
