Adaptation of settlements to climate change - practical solutions and knowledge sharing

The project "Adaptation of settlements to climate change - practical solutions and knowledge sharing" is focused on a development of knowledge of climate change adaptation in cities and villages and its application in practice. The project creates an informal platform or NGOs called "Settlement adaptation" (the members are Civitas per Populi, Agentura Koniklec, Ekocentrum Koniklec, TIMUR, Porsenna and Czech Globe v. v. i.). The main objective of the project is to contribute to a mitigation of future negative efefcts of a changing climate to settlements (both cities and villages) in the Czech Republic. The project will create a set of tools for an identification of risks caused by climate change, and besides that methodologis for a modelling of climate effects and adaptation pathways at local level will be designed. For the pilot study, three settlements of different sizes were chosen: Hradec Králové, Beroun, Dobruška.
