Resilient cities
Cities are a very dynamic and complex environment, which has considerable demands on natural resources and services, and are vulnerable to the effects of global change. Cities also have the potential to provide solutions for sustainable ecosystem management and adaptation to climate change. In our research, we are focusing on supporting urban adaptation to the impacts of climate change, including assessing the vulnerability and adaptive capacity and resilience of cities, especially with regard to ecosystem services and nature-based solutions. We therefore work with cities to find solutions for a sustainable future.
