Jana Osúchová

Jana is a researcher at the Department of Human Dimensions of Global Change. She received her master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University in the Netherlands in 2009. Five years later, she completed her Ph.D. studies from the Department of Social Geography and Regional Development at Charles University in Prague. Her research focus includes integrated assessment of ecosystem services, impacts of land use changes on ecosystem services supply, and vulnerability and disaster risk reduction of socio-ecological systems. She has recently participated in the national assessment of ecosystem services in the Czech Republic. Currently she is involved in a research on ecosystem services of urban greenery in Czech cities and in the EU Horizon 2020 project ESMERALDA aimed on mapping and assessment of ecosystem services in Europe for policy and decision-making. Jana is a member of Ecosystem Services Partnership, active mainly in a working group on Ecosystem Services and Disaster Risk Reduction.
