Conference on adaptation in cities

From 17 to 18 October 2016, the New Town Hall of the Prague City will host an international conference on "Planning for adaptation to climate change in cities using nature-based solutions." The planned conference is one of the main outputs of the project UrbanAdapt. Excursion for conference participants is planned for 19 October 2016.
 
The international conference is organized under the patronage of Mrs. Councillor RNDr. Jana Plamínková.
The conference is organized by CzechGlobe - Global Change Research Institute, Czech Academy of Sciences, v.v.i. , Department of Human Dimensions of Global Change, in cooperation with IPR - Institute of Planning and Development of Prague.
 
The conference aims to promote the development and implementation of adaptation in cities, using ecosystem-based approaches. This is an international conference with the participation of many foreign experts to share experiences and present examples of good practice in the field of planning and development, adaptation, ecosystem-based approaches across European cities, including Czech pilot cities of UrbanAdapr project.
