Participative modelling of ecosystem services values in protected areas

The aim of the project is to develop a map of values of ecosystem services that are important in terms of the benefits of socio-ecological systems based on participative modelling and scenarios. The project will develop a methodology for assessing ecosystem services in specially protected areas. Participatory scenarios and modelling will serve as a support for decision-making in specially protected areas. The project will improve our knowledge about the scale and quality of ecosystem services provided to society and the attitudes of individual actors to ecosystem values. The development of ecosystem services will be modelled on the basis of participative scenarios in the near future, with the aim to model conflicts and synergies, which will support decision-making in nature conservation.

Project is supported by the Technological Agency of the Czech Republic - ETA Programme for Applied Research, Experimental Development and Innovation in Social Sciences and Humanities. Duration of project: 3/2018 - 6/2021.
