Helena Duchková

Helena is a researcher focusing on impacts of climate change, future scenarios and related human-environment interactions, especially in mountainous regions. She has graduated from the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds where she gained her master’s degree with merit, learned from world recognised scientists in climate change field and conducted the dissertation project “Climate change impacts on forests of the Jizera Mountains, Czech Republic: projecting the future species‘ habitat suitability” under supervision of Dr Wolfgang Buermann. She is working for CzechGlobe since January 2019 where she concentrates on topics such as provisioning and valuation of ecosystem services, urban adaptation options and nature-based solutions.
