Petr Krpec

Petr Krpec is a PhD student at the University of Ostrava, where he studies Environmental Geography at the Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology. He studied Environmental Protection at the Palacký University in Olomouc and Modeling in Environmental Geography at the University of Ostrava. He focuses mainly on the use of hydrological models in research of potential impacts of climate changes on the quantity and quality of fresh water, and on decision-making support agricultural management optimization in river basins. During his studies he conducted internships in Poland at the Agricultural University in Krakow and in Germany at the Center for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig. Since October 2018, he has been working at the Department of Human Dimensions of Global Change (Global Change Research Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences - CzechGlobe), where he mainly deals with the quantification of fresh water-related ecosystem services using hydrological models.
